About Us.

FMD Royal Rangers, sharing our virtue since 1962.

FMD Royal Rangers seek to develop the Total Boy according to our program. We are committed to guiding young boys and young men from grades K thru 12 to accomplish this by teaching leadership skills, fellowship and the importance of a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Since 1962, the Royal Rangers has created a loving and spiritual ministry for more than 2,000,000 boys and young men. More than 100,000 boys take part in our local outposts in the United States every year. To date, more than 8,000 youth have earned the highest honor, the Gold Medal of Achievement. This honor symbolizes development through their participation in our Royal Rangers program.

The FMD Royal Rangers defines our ministry.

define our ministry

“We are a mentoring ministry for future men, providing Christlike character formation and servant leadership development for boys and young men in a highly relational and fun environment. Our mission is to evangelize, equip, and empower the next generation of Christlike men and lifelong servant leaders.”

As an outdoor adventure organization, the FMD Royal Rangers participate in small group meetings on a weekly basis, creating activities and outings under guidance by leaders. Our leaders are specifically trained so they mentor and can deliver an adventure that young Royal Rangers seek.

Ideals of Royal Rangers are exemplified in our pledge, code, motto, and the points of the Royal Rangers emblem.

Our pledge

With God’s help, I will do my best to serve God, my church, and my fellowman; to live by The Code; to make the Golden Rule my daily rule.

Our code

A Royal Ranger is Alert, Clean, Honest, Courageous, Loyal, Courteous, Obedient, and Spiritual.

Our motto

“Ready” Meaning of motto: Ready for anything. Ready to work, play, serve, worship, live, and obey God’s word.

Point of the emblem

The four GOLD points represent the four ways a boy grows – Mentally, Physically, Spiritually, Socially. The four RED points represent the four core beliefs of the Church – Salvation, Baptism in the Holy Spirit, Divine Healing, Second Coming

The Seven Methods.

Friendship

Building healthy, Christ-centered relationships among men and boys.
Men and boys build relationships side by side as they do fun things together. Through mentorship, friendship, and a Royal Ranger community bonded through adventure, boys and young men have the opportunity to witness and develop meaningful friendships with peers.

Activities

Bringing men and boys together around a variety of activities that provide something for every boy.
Boys today have a variety of interests – sports, technology, outdoor activities, trade skills, arts, and more. FMD Royal Rangers ministry features a collection of resources to support diverse interests. This way outpost leaders can plan a wide range of activities so the young Royal Ranger stays interested and learns.

Identity

Inviting boys to connect and belong to a community of Christ-like men.
Every boy needs to know he has a valuable role to play in something big and important. The various uniforms worn by the men and boys serve to identify them as a part of a worldwide organization. An organization that helps build the kingdom of God in the hearts of men and boys all around the world.

Achievement

Providing every boy with a pathway for growth and recognition.
The Royal Rangers advancement system provides systematic leadership development. It provides a process with a roadmap to Christ-like manhood. This is done through Bible studies, leadership lessons and skill development. It is where boys develop a complete image of manhood modeled by Jesus Christ. “Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.” Luke 2:52

Discipleship

Walking the path of discipleship with boys effectively and patiently.
Growing boys into Christlike manhood through a systematic, guy-specific discipleship process. The Royal Rangers program provides boys with a picture of Christlike manhood. We have a process for pursuing it as we become an important cornerstone in their lifelong effort that requires endurance, patience, and persistence.

Leadership

Encouraging boys to become kind and Christlike leaders.
Developing servant leadership and personal growth within a small group environment so we give boys opportunities to learn leadership skills. These skills are practiced in small group settings so when a Royal Ranger boy gets older they usually transition to planning and leading the activities of their group.

Service

Where boys work together to bring God's kingdom to our communities.
Service to others is a central part of the Christian faith. So any effort to help boys grow into healthy Christian men, Rangers must be regular opportunities to serve others. Our higher purpose is to have Outposts regularly engaged in activities that serve communities as they seek to make the world a better place.
